Olympus Hana-Fukin Sashiko Cloth 31cm x 31cm Pre-Printed In Water-Soluble Ink (Akane Tombo -Dragonfly)
Sashiko Cloth designed by Olympus. This cloth is lightweight with a slightly open weave and the clear stitching pattern is pre-printed in water-soluble ink.
You will need a 20-metre skein of sashiko thread to complete this design.
Although the original purpose of the project is to create a kitchen towel or cushion the sashiko panels can be used as part of a creative project such as a bag, quilt block, table runner or wall hanging.
This product is designed and made in Japan so the packaging and instructions are in Japanese.
Note: We will include a sheet of basic sashiko instructions in English!
* Printed with water-soluble ink.
* Do not wash or use a steam iron or water spray prior to stitching as the pattern will wash out.
* After stitching hand wash gently in lukewarm water until the marks disappear. You can use a mild detergent.
* While the cloth is still half dry, cover the sashiko panel with fabric/towel and then press the iron gently on a low heat setting.
* Plain backing fabric in the same colour is included.
* Entire Cloth Size: Approx. 34cm (13") x 69cm (27")
* Finished Size: Approx. 31cm (12") x 31cm (12")
